چکیده
In this study, two-year-old bare-root Acer negundo and pseudoplatanus seedlings were grown indoors (control vs. drought-stressed) outside the hoop house to examine leaf gas exchange parameters in late growing period. Besides morphological features, several parameters, such as net photosynthetic rate (Anet), transpiration (E), stomatal conductance (gs), intercellular CO2 ambient (Ci/Ca), water use efficiency (WUE=Anet/E), intrinsic (iWUE=Anet/gs) measured. As a result, A. had higher stem height growth. Anet, lower iWUE Ci/Ca than pseudoplatanus. Seedlings under control treatment gs, E, iWUE, WUE, values other treatments. conclusion, there was no significant difference between two species terms of parameters. However, it can be said that are drought resistant.

Laccase from Sycamore Maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) Polymerizes Monolignols.
Current understanding of the final oxidative steps leading to lignin deposition in trees and other higher plants is limited with respect to what enzymes are involved, where they are localized, how they are transported, and what factors regulate them. With the use of cell suspension cultures of sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus), an in-depth study of laccase, one of the oxidative enzymes possi...

Laccases (p-diphenol:O, oxidoreductase, EC 1.1 0.3.2) are m,embers of a highly conserved class of metalloenzymes, the ”blue” copper oxidases, which includes ascorbate oxidase and ceruloplasmin (Rydén and Hunt, 1993). First identified more than 100 years ago in extracts of sap from the Japanese lacquer tree (Rhus vernicifera), laccases have since been identified in fungi, insects, higher plants,...
متن کاملThe effects of different timings and severity of drought stress on gas exchange parameters of mungbean
Mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) or green gram as a dryland grain legume is exposed to varied timings and severity of drought stress, resulting in variability in photoassimilate production. In order to evaluate some physiological responses in one mungbean cultivar to timing and severity of drought stress, a 3-replicate RCBD (randomized complete block design) field experiment was carried ou...
متن کاملCompetition for nitrogen between Fagus sylvatica and Acer pseudoplatanus seedlings depends on soil nitrogen availability
Competition for nitrogen (N), particularly in resource-limited habitats, might be avoided by different N acquisition strategies of plants. In our study, we investigated whether slow-growing European beech and fast-growing sycamore maple seedlings avoid competition for growth-limiting N by different N uptake patterns and the potential alteration by soil N availability in a microcosm experiment. ...
